Lupinus arboreus L.
Yellow bush lupine (Tree lupine) - Lupinus arboreus.
A perennial plant 1.5 m tall, with white and yellow flowers, blooming in July-August, unfortunately this species does not overwinter in Estonia (zone 8). It forms a rounded bush about 1.5 m tall and up to 1.2 m in diameter. It has juicy, silky to the touch stems and grayish-green leaves covered with silky fluff underneath. Each leaf consists of 6-9 lanceolate leaflets, inflorescences of a raceme on high peduncles appear from June to August. Fragrant flowers resemble pea flowers.
